Each summer, thousands of people come through Caras Park in the Heart of Downtown Missoula, Montana on Wednesdays at lunchtime and/or on Thursday evenings to enjoy two of the longest standing traditions in Downtown Missoula – Out to Lunch and Downtown ToNight. As part of this tradition we hire both local and out-of-area talent to provide music throughout each event.
We are looking for dynamic bands who are family friendly, fun, energetic, and will truly add to the atmosphere of our events. Please note that we are not looking for individual solo artists or individual instrument players. Bands must be able to play for three hours (three, 50-minute sets).
Please note that these events are run by a non-profit and due to the event being free and open for all to enjoy, the Missoula Downtown Association may not be able to hire bands whose fee requests are greater than $1,100.
The deadline for submitting an application is March 1, 2020. To submit an application, you will first need to create a Submittable.com account. You may do so by scrolling down and filling out the User Account Information. If you have used Submittible before, then you will need to scroll down and sign in to your account. After logging in, please complete the following:
1. Fill out the form.
2. Submit your music. A minimum of three different music files must be submitted; a total of five files may be submitted. *Note: music must be submitted in order to be considered.
